Table 1 does not include results from (i) one affiliate operated location that was not open at least 12 consecutive months as of December 31, 2018, (ii) 3 affiliate operated carry-out only locations with no dine-in facilities, and (iii) our two affiliate franchised locations in Atlanta for which we do not have access to any detailed financial information, as they are not required to submit that information to us. None of these locations closed during 2018.

    Complete the Online Application

    We want to get to know you! Share with us why you want to be part of the This Is It! Southern Kitchen and Barbecue family, and what skills and experience make you a great candidate.

    Step Two
    Introduction Call

     

    We’ll answer your initial questions and verify that you meet the basic requirements for owning a This Is It! Southern Kitchen and Barbecue franchise.

    Step Three
    Initial Interview

    The single most important thing to us is that every franchisee will be able to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.   Our Operations expert will speak with you about what that means and ensure you are committed to excellence.

     

     

    Step Four
    Speak to our Founder
    Mr. Shelley B. Anthony III

    Mr. Anthony is the founder of This Is It! Southern Kitchen and Barbecue and continues to own and operate the stores in Metro Atlanta.  He as well as every member of his family has spent a lifetime building this beloved brand.  Mr. Anthony personally approves every franchisee before moving to the next steps.

     

     

    Step Five
    Mutual Due Diligence

    We owe it to each other to take time to ensure we are a good fit for you, and you for us.  You will receive a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document and be encouraged to visit and speak to anyone at any of our stores about their experience with us.  We will at that time verify your application and conduct reference calls.

     

     

     

    Step Six
    Discovery Day

    Visit our corporate office to meet our stellar team and we’ll take you to one of our stores as well.

     

     

    Step Seven
    Business Plan

    You will provide us with a written business plan outlining who, what, when, and how you will develop your own This Is It! Southern Kitchen and Barbecue restaurant.  One of our experts can help with the outline, but you must provide the information and write it up. 

    Step Eight
    Sign the Agreement

    You will receive either a Franchise Agreement (1 store) or Franchise Developer Agreement (multiple stores in one territory).  After the agreement is signed, the real work begins.  Site selection, lease execution, design and construction, training….we’ll be spending a lot of time together! 

    Step Nine
    Grand Opening

    Between 6-12 months, depending on how quickly you secure your real estate, you open the doors to a brand new This Is It! Southern Kitchen and Barbecue.  Congratulations, and welcome to the family!
